TrendMap is available as a standalone MapInfo or ArcView compatible program, MapBasic application, or as an embeddable DLL for application developers.
TrendMap output format options include MapInfo .TAB and .MID/.MIF, ArcView .SHP, and Atlas .BNA format files.
TrendMap uses a proprietary spatial filtering algorithm developed specifically to address trade area definition using customer based point-of-sale data.
TrendMap is fully documented, and runs under Windows 3.1, '95,
and NT.
How TrendMap Works:
Traditional trade area analysis evaluates customer response relative to a pre-defined unit of geography, such as ZIP Codes, census tracts, or block groups. TrendMap uses a unique radial filter-based spatial modeling algorithm that is not constrained by these artificial boundaries, and provides a uniquely accurate representation of the extent and concentration of customer-based point-of-sale information.
TrendMap was designed for the end user, and employs an intuitive, menu-driven interface.
TrendMap offers a wide range of options for specifying the manner in which your point-of-sale data are mapped.
Three distinct options for calculating the value of points which fall within the defined radii are available:
TrendMap offers three automatic settings for the physical resolution
of the output file. Additionally, the user can manually define the resolution
desired.
Site Perfect Research, Inc. offers a wide range of trade area analysis services which employ the TrendMapTM technology and a full line of off-the-shelf desktop mapping software and data products.
